INTERN – Organ

Pre-baccalaureate Course
A program for those who do not yet possess the pre-requisites necessary for an Undergraduate University Degree Program or a Master Program.
The length of the program varies, according to the individual needs of each student.  Along with the study of their principal instrument, students will participate in piano, music theory and analysis, ear-training, and laboratories of vocal and instrumental ensemble music. More informations.
Three-year Undergraduate Degree
Along with the study of organ technique, repertoire, chamber music and composition are required.  Further studies include improvisation, methods, Medieval Christian Chant, tuning and tempering, liturgy, history and technology of the instrument, choral conducting, and sight-reading.  Courses in acoustics, information technology for music, expressive techniques and body awareness and the study of a European language are also required.
The degree program trains students for employment as soloists, in chamber music groups, in chamber orchestras, symphony orchestras, and orchestras for musical theater/opera. More information.
Two–year Master Program (or Ancient Organ)
Along with the study of organ repertoire and technique, harpsichord, and vocal and instrumental ensemble and chamber music are requirements.  The Ancient Organ curriculum includes courses in Ancient Organ techniques.
Additional courses include organology, Gregorian Chant, communication techniques and music management, show business law and legislation, figured bass practices, architecture, iconography, and history of the art of the period.  Laboratories in tempering and tuning, ancient notation, transcription, improvisation and composition for the harpsichord/organ, and cataloging of historic organs are also offered.
The Conservatory possesses three instruments, two mechanical and one electric, which are available to students. More information.
One-year Non-academic Course
Along with the study of instrumental techniques and repertoire, students are free to attend all courses and Labs offered in the Degree Programs.  They will not participate in exams, but will be awarded a Certificate of Participation. More information.
