INTERN – Percussion

Pre-baccalaureate Course
A program for those who do not yet possess the pre-requisites necessary for an Undergraduate University Degree Program or a Master Program.
The length of the program varies, according to the individual needs of each student.  Along with the study of their principal instrument, students will participate in music theory and analysis, harmony, ear-training, music history, and choral music. More informations.

Three-year Undergraduate Degree
Along with the study of the theory and the repertoire of percussion instruments, chamber music and orchestral formation are required.  Further studies include percussion ensemble techniques, orchestral accompanying, conducting of instrumental and vocal ensembles, composition, history and technology of percussion instruments, and music history.  Courses in acoustics, information technology for music, expressive techniques and body awareness and the study of a European language are also required.
The degree program trains students for employment as soloists, in chamber music groups, in chamber orchestras, symphony orchestras, and orchestras for musical theater/opera. More information.

Two–year Master Program
Required courses are: technique and repertoire of percussion instruments, contemporary music analysis, rhythm and sight-reading.  Additional courses include orchestral technique and repertoire for percussion instruments, as well as improvisation, composition, instrumentation, orchestration and ancient music laboratories. One-year Non-academic Course
Along with the study of instrumental techniques and repertoire, students are free to attend all courses and Labs offered in the Degree Programs.  They will not participate in exams, but will be awarded a Certificate of Participation. More information.
